OUR HOMES

thanks to our donors, we now have 3 furnished apartments for our families

The Yellow Door Foundation serves a specific population - immunocompromised children - who are undergoing cancer treatment, cutting edge immunotherapy, and, in some cases, transplants at the University of Virginia Children's Hospital.  Yellow Door provides a safe-clean environment that is convenient to the hospital for the patients, their parents and siblings.  Our goal is to allow families to live as normal a life as possible while they concentrate on their child's treatment and recovery.

But none of this is possible without you!

All of this temporary lodging is at Stone Creek Village Apartments.

Because of the close working relationship that Yellow Door enjoys with Stone Creek management, each apartment is equipped to meet immunocompromised standards.

Each one of the one and two-bedroom apartments is on the first floor.  Wall-to-wall carpeting has been replaced with engineered hardwood flooring, walls and ceilings have been repainted with Sherwin Williams Paint-Shield for the immunocompromied, and hepa filters have been installed.

We need your help furnishing apartments for families in need!

We have opportunities for both individuals and groups to volunteer to make a difference in the lives of these families.
